It’s her personal goal to continue to grow and excel in her craft and to ultimately share all that she learns. Veka has traveled extensively always training to become better at the craft.

Hello All! A little about myself; I grew up in Temple City, Ca, so I’m a local gal. Hair seems to be in the genes as my sister, aunt and both grandmothers took to the profession. I did my first retouch at age 11 and I’ve been at it ever since. I attended cosmetology school at 16 and began working at a salon in San Marino at 17 where I continued to expand my knowledge and love of hair for the next 6 years. I’ve been trained extensively in Aveda, Matrix and Redken Coloring, am certified in Brazilian Blowouts as well as Toni & Guy and Bumble & Bumble styling. My biggest passions have to be coloring, cutting, color correction and keeping my clients’ hair in immaculate condition, no matter what their needs are. My move to 1st Avenue Salon has been such a great experience. It’s a beautiful salon and I truly love being surrounded by so many other talented, positive stylists and estheticians who are determined to keep up on the latest styles, techniques and treatments to ensure the healthiest, most beautiful results.
Born in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1978 She moved to Los Angeles, California in 1999. She began to feel the urgency to express her artistic desires. She remembers being 14 years old, started her journey towards becoming a professional hairdresser.Her approach builds on the extensive training she has received being trained by INOA color, Vidal Sassoon,Toni & Guy, Karin Atanasio Mexico, KERASTASE and mentors of the beauty industry including training with Loreal Color Coleccion in Cancun, Quinta Roo, Scruples, the Bumble and Bumble Academy New York, and Tony and Guy in Texas 2008, as well as Tony and Guy Santa Monica, 2011 and certified by Yuko Straightening System, 2004 and the Brazillian Blowout Treatments and methods.
Isabella specializes in color, cutting and styling. She is also favored by brides for bridal parties and up-do’s. Her love for hair dressing and the art began when she was 12 years old Over the years, Isabella has worked for countless brides, proms, formals and other special occasions. She also partakes in numerous photo shoots that involve different variations of styling. One of the biggest reasons she was inspired to become an affluent hairdresser was visualizing before and after results. Constantly progressing in a profession that always evolves is the most inspiring motivation that she could have ever asked for.
Isabella's approach to hair styling varies with each and every client. She is easy to connect with and always attempts to coordinate a style that fits that persons lifestyle and personality. Her colors, highlights, and cuts are all personally made to fit each individual client that sits in her chair. Nobody has the same texture, skin color, or eye color, and everyone has different likes and dislikes to go along with their lifestyle, so why do the same styles on everyone? One of the main things in the beauty industry that inspires her is not only external beauty but the beauty within. "As a woman getting your hair done not only makes you feel beautiful on the outside, but it can make you feel amazing inside, and it can give you more confidence when you walk out of the door then when you walked in, and that is something that motivates me daily." Frances is a highly talented stylist who has been practicing for over 15 year. Her advanced educational background is extensive. She has trained with some of the industry›s top professionals at the Aveda Education Center and at the Bumble and Bumble University. She is certified in many color lines, including Goldwell, the brand she works with. She also worked and trained on Newbury Street before relocating to this area. Frances has received specialized training in straight blade razor cutting, which is one of the most modern and challenging forms of cutting in the industry. Most recently she also certified in Rejuvenol Brazilian Keratin Treatments and the Coppola Express Blow Out. Frances is also experienced and talented with resistant grey coverage, texturizing techniques, and creating amazing reds and blondes. Frances enjoys a challenge and believes that every client deserves to be listened to. As a client with Frances you will always receive a thorough and in-depth consultation in which she will work with you to create a style individualized to your needs.
I have been a licensed cosmetologist since 2003, and have been with Aveda since 2009.
